Very first Robby the Robot made. By the Nomura toy company of Japan in 1957. From original movie Forbidden Planet is arguably the best science fiction movie of the 1950’s. In the era of The Cold War, fears were materialized in mutated, giant insects, monsters or alien invaders! Robby is the Icon of any decent tin toy robot collector.
Attic Find!
This is a fantastic attic find. It doesn’t hurt to crawl inside an attic to find what your parents put away. Barbie’s one of the most collected dolls in the world. Barbie was that through the doll, the little girl could be anything she wanted to be. Barbie always represented the fact that a woman has choices. launched in March 1959. American businesswoman Ruth Handler is credited with the creation of the doll using a German doll called Bild Lilli as her inspiration. It is said “Almost every girl in America had a Barbie.”
Steady Hand Skills
1800’s original dexterity game with black lady. The emphasis here is on steady hands, perseverance, and lots of patience rather than logical analysis. In his seminal book Puzzles Old and New published in 1893, Angelo John Lewis, writing under the pen name “Professor Louis Hoffmann” described the class of dexterity puzzles as those “which do not depend upon any secret, or intellectual process, but upon some knack, only to be obtained by repeated persistent effort of the ‘try and try again’ kind on the part of the operator.

By 1920, Harley Davidson was the largest manufacturer, with their motorcycles being sold by dealers in 67 countries.
Keepsake Box
1800’s early 1900’s art nouveau bronzed box 6” X 9” X 2 ¼”. It is very detailed it is all hand crafted design of grapes on side and fine gemstones with great design, bronze lady in center. It is marked Empire Gold Art E.J.&B. Art Nouveau is considered a “total” art style, embracing architecture, and most period decorative arts including jewelry, furniture, and other textiles. Most popular during 1890–1910. English uses the French name Art nouveau (“new art”), but the style has many different names in other countries. Academic art of the 19th century, it was inspired by natural forms and structures, not only in flowers and plants, but also in curved lines. Architects tried to harmonize with the natural environments.
This is an original 1840 signed BB print hand painted snow 11 ½” x 8 ½” art of White House. There is also faded signature on bottom left side of this piece. It has old wood frame. It is a delightful historical piece. This was done on cold winter day and months after, on April 14, 1840, as the House considered the appropriation of $3,665 for landscaping the grounds and repairing the White House furniture changed.
BEAUTY
This fantastic piece is 1880’s French bronze frame, It is masterfully made and can be used on table top or wall. This period of French bronze and art was a Neoclassical period of Rodin was trying to escape from. Bronzing and art bronzes are some of my favorite pieces in the antique world.
This is an awesome find! Original Civil War Kepi Hat. The kepi was also popular with various state units and as privately-purchased headgear; e.g., it was standard issue in 1861 for New York infantry regiments
Art Nouveau Period
1900 early sterling silver brown opal money clip. The art nouveau style is one of my favorite periods and designs next to art deco. The money clip is a fashion accessory for a male wearer. There is not much history to the money clip due to currency was mostly coin during the times, there is evidence dating back during China’s Han Dynasty in 118 BCE, original lightweight bank notes were made of leather.
